Featured project 01 / PublicRecordRGV
A public marina sits at the center of a web of relationships: the Town, an association (LVRA), a development corporation (CDC), provisions of the town charter, a $63,350 item discussed in a CDC transcript, a boat ramp project, and records identified as verification dependencies. This map lets readers move through those connections while keeping clear which links are documented and which still need verification.
Start with one question. See how the connections grow.
Working interactive prototype drawn from ongoing public-records research. Documented propositions and open questions are distinguished by status. Unverified connections do not allege wrongdoing or imply records were withheld. Applies to both the simplified and full views. See full disclosures and open questions on PublicRecordRGV.
Lines are drawn from the full map; solid indicates cited propositions, dashed indicates unresolved research connections. Neither establishes a Town production failure.

Reading the statuses
DOCUMENTED established by a primary record.
VERIFY evidence points to it; more documentation needed.
AWAITING RECORDS verification dependency; request scope and Town production not determined.
Reading the lines
Solid line: cited proposition supported by a primary record.
Dashed line: unresolved research connection. Dashed boxes identify verification dependencies, not evidence that records were withheld or never produced.
Public-records research spans entities, laws, dollar amounts and source-matching questions. Written as prose, the relationships blur — and uncertain links can read as conclusions.
Close reading of the source material, then a structured vocabulary of entities, relationships and honest status labels — so every claim stays attached to its evidence.
A filterable evidence map where every node and every arrow carries its own status. Readers can select any item to see its summary, source or needed record, and trace each connection — with a full list view for small screens and assistive technology.
